A team of 8 and under players from the Centralia Little League rankshas formed a summer team to play against competition from other areasin Southwest Washington. The team has been practicing for the lastmonth to get ready for their first tournament in Castle Rock on theweekend of June 14-17. Coaching the team is Chris Thomas and JamesAliff, who both coached for the Centralia Little League this year.The team is looking for some help from the community. In order tokeep costs down for the parents of the handpicked tournament team, thecoaches and parents are looking for sponsorship and support. Thecontributions will go towards tournament fees, uniforms, and teamequipment. Centralia:live has created a widget on the side to let yousupport the team by giving donations via PayPal.Please consider helping to strengthen baseball in the Centralia areaby donating. For your contribution, the team will have your name put ona team banner that will be displayed at all games.The tournament schedule at this time is:Castle Rock June 14-17 Longview June 22-24 Spanaway June 29-July 1 Battle Ground July 28-29 The team hopes to add two more tournaments to their July schedule.
